WELCOME!

Welcome to my blog!!!  My name is Talisha, and as you can tell from my tagline, I am a new composition teacher.  I am also a new graduate student, currently working on an M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition at Colorado State University.  I created this blog as part of one of my rhet/comp courses entitled Theories of Writing, taught by Dr. Carrie Lamanna.  The blog’s main content will be responses to course readings and bi-weekly prompts, which will often tie to my own experiences as a new teacher trying to figure out best ways to implement the theories of good writing instruction into my own classrooms.  Keep in mind I’m doing this while also adjusting to life as a graduate student and balancing the workload of my graduate courses with that of teaching two sections of college composition.  Many of my struggles, challenges, and hopefully successes will show up right here on this blog.  So stay tuned to see what happens
